Pi Mezon is a progressive rock/metal band from Joensuu, Eastern Finland, known for crafting cinematic soundscapes with emotional weight. Founded in 2007 by guitarist and composer Ilja Koslonen (Serpenthia, Systematic Sickness Kin), the project began as a personal outlet for ideas that didn’t fit his heavier bands – deeply inspired by artists like Porcupine Tree and Pain of Salvation. What started as a solo experiment has since evolved into a full band, blending atmospheric synths, layered guitars, and dynamic vocals into expansive, concept-driven releases.
With two full-length albums (A Lone, New World) and their latest release Generation Loss Pt. 1, Pi Mezon continues to explore the space where precision meets feeling, and where progressive music still dares to feel human.
Band Line-Up: Jarkko Maula – Vocals, Ilja Koslonen – Guitar and Synth,
Arto Mulari – Guitar, Anssi Hyttinen – Bass & Oskari Itäranta – Drums
