Pulp was a pioneering Sheffield based, English Brit Pop band formed in 1978. However, their popularity peaked only between 1992 to1997 when the band consisted of Jarvis Cocker (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Candida Doyle (keyboards), Russell Senior (guitar, violin), Mark Webber (guitar, keyboards), Steve Mackey (bass) and Nick Banks (drums, percussion). Pulp is still considered as one of the Big 4 Brit Pop bands along with Oasis, Blur and Suede.
