Glowbug – Death of the Party (Official Music Video)

80s Synth Pop meets Macabre Horror

Electronic pop rock band Glowbug’s “Death of the Party” is our #ThrowbackThursday and #SongoftheWeek from our September 2018 archives that we are featuring again.

Glowbug is actually a moniker for the talented LA-Based artist, musician, multi-instrumentalist and record producer – Daniel Anderson, one of the founding members of the alternative rock duo Idiot Pilot (with Michael Harris) and indie folk act – The Ghost and The Grace. Released in 2015, Death of the Party (with an eye-catching macabre music video) is one of the eleven great tracks that you can find on “Head Hunters” album.

Combining 80s style synth-pop infused electronic rock with horror-themed torture imagery that would delight gore fans, the Death of the Party music video is an aural delight for the ears and a bloody feast for the eyes. Yes, lots of blood! Or you can simply watch it for the beautiful Dani Daniels alone!

You can download this underrated track or the entire “Headhunters” album free @ the Glowbug Bandcamp page

Glowbug – Death of the Party (Song Lyrics)

As the sun descends through the ocean and blooms,
Like a pink and blue bullet wound,
We turn a lot of heads when we aren’t spinning ourselves,
We make a lot of plans but can’t quite carry them out

We’re gonna party till we die,
We’re gonna party till we die
(Still on the move)

Summer nights are stretching forever without,
Any sign of letting us down,
We’ve given up on everything we learned about time,
We’re never getting old and never taking a side

We’re gonna party till we die,
We’re gonna party till we die
(Still on the move)
